really I'm looking for this and would like to replace the current library with this or equivalent that produces the same experience and features

maybe this https://github.com/robicch/jQueryGantt though I'm a bit nervous as it doesn't look maintained but I'm ok as long as we commit to maintaining it else, go with dhtmlx
