Hi James - we appreciate the feedback. Please note that the process is iterative and we will be lighting up other platforms over time as well. We're trying to make sure that customers get the opportunity to play with the preview SDK releases as we work through each platform, allowing us to gather feedback, further iterate and improve our offering. In case you missed my comment on the other forums, we do have Xamarin bindings for the new Android SDK published. Other platforms will soon follow.
@merzink does the documentation have links for that Android SDK? Personally I am wanting the Xamarin Forms iOS side. Under Support the github repository, is that correct? Doesn't seem like it has any activity. This blog is similarly confusing with what you can and can't do: Migrating off App Center Push.
If the documentation maybe left room for the further areas that would be clear whether or not I can proceed. It's not really clear what is and isn't supported. Just jumps right in to the native side?
e.g. Xamarin Forms iOS - TBC
Hi @james1301 - I understand your point about not making things clear (in the blog post or the migration guide) about additional platform support coming down the line; we'll rectify this with our next update. Our goal is to continue updating the migration guides, as well as the corresponding ANH tutorials as we light up additional platforms and feature sets.
By the way, we appreciate your patience and all your feedback here.
Where is the xamarin forms documentation? You mentioned back in May that this absence was going to be rectified. It's now November and app centre push expires at the end of December. Still no help for xamarin forms!
@merzink any update on this?! Pretty close to the retirement now.
Useless page without documentation for all previously supported platforms. More specifically Xamarin Forms in our case. It is blind guess work otherwise.
Looking at the suggested repository, there is no code and no signs of life. Again I don't hold my breath that is the right one, or it is going to provide any help.
Terrible page for help.
