'Managed Identity' is an official syntax, and it works in the serverless sql pool. 'Managed Service Identity' is legacy syntax that is not supported anymore. If 'Managed Identity' returns an error, please provide error and a screenshot in support ticket.

It seems the value of Managed Identity should be corrected to Managed Service Identity when access from serverless sql pool to storage account. Otherwise, the syntax error will pop up while creating external table using Managed Identity rather than Managed Service Identity.
