MFA registration prompt not working #105607

Open kocho-tomu opened 1 year ago

kocho-tomu commented 1 year ago

Even when a user is included, and all the criteria are met and the user does not have any factors already, it still doesn't prompt a user to register.

A client is finding the same as in my test tenant.

There are modes now to switch from legacy to in progress to completed, but either way it doesn't seem to work. If I also add the user to SSPR registration or legacy MFA enablement they get the old prompt, but nothing in the Auth Methods section seems to have an impact and we are yet to see "improve your sign ins" or a "not now" skip link.

Thanks

Any update on this? Did the new auth policy methods break the nudge feature?

@kocho-tomu I'm interested in the root cause, because I'm currently facing the same issue with a client that has recently migrated from legacy to the new policies for Azure MFA. I'm using the SSPR registration policy.

I believe we are facing the same issue. The Nudge feature worked in a quick test scenario a few weeks ago, we migrated our policies not long after and now when attempting to actually run a Nudge campaign nothing is happening and our test group is not getting any prompts or notifications.
