@danielniccoli
Thanks for your feedback! We will investigate and update as appropriate.
@cachai2 When creating a func app via portal, Enable network injection
option is there in Networking tab but the description doesn't clearly explain the content in the portal or doc referenced. Assigning to the doc author on the feedback.
Any update on this?
I came here also looking for answers on what "Network Injection" means.
There's at least six other people that upvoted my original ticket - which was summarily closed after saying "yes that's confusing" and no resolution.
This isn't that hard. Just change the word "Network injection" to the proper value.
PLEASE
You're confusing everyone
Still no response ... sigh
@danielniccoli and @jgwinner it sounds like you are advocating for adding a tool tip (like we have in the previous Enable public access setting) that says something like:
Enable network injection to create your function app in either a new or an existing virtual network.
There are currently some challenges with the article itself. Because it doesn't actually mention enabling VNET integration as part of the create flow, there's no good place to mention the Enable public access setting. This setting is mentioned in the VNET tutorial.
@im-samz can you check with the UX folks to see if this is something they can easily do? We should also investigate improvements to this article, perhaps including mentioning the create flow options.
@ggailey777 You should be awarded the olympic gold medal for these mental gymnastics. 🙈 @jgwinner very clearly explained the problem: There's no explanation of what "network injection" is or does in the documentation https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-functions/functions-networking-options?tabs=azure-cli
After so many people complained here and in issue #94907, how difficult is it to change a simple text of "Enable Network injection" to "Deploy in VNet" or similar?
Thank you @danielniccoli ... it's very frustrating.
Belated happy anniversary to this issue. If this issue is not resolved soon then I'll wish the OP of the original ticket in June 2024 too.
Same as #94907, which was closed, but not resolved.
