very confused by this help page - I want to set up a custom domain using azure DNS - but the prerequisite is to already have a custom domain? Am I supposed to purchase a custom domain elsewhere to use here, or what?

@slacker298 Thanks for asking question! Yes, to set up a custom domain with Azure DNS in Azure Static Web Apps, you need to have a custom domain already registered with a domain registrar.

You can purchase a custom domain from a domain registrar such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Google Domains. Once you have purchased the domain, you can follow these steps to set up the custom domain with Azure DNS.

Let us know if further query or issue remains.
