7. For CD/DVD Drive 1, select Datastore ISO file and then select the ISO file that you uploaded earlier.

8. In VM Options, Change Boot Options, Firmware to BIOS (not EFI).

9. Select Next > Finish.

I got the hint from your guide on HyperV, where it clearly states to use Generation 1.
