Unable to connect Verified Domain to Azure Communication Service #115132

Open stephenmichaelf opened 9 months ago

stephenmichaelf commented 9 months ago

This guidance does not work.

I have a domain, it says it's Verified, and the dropdown won't let me select it.

Both Email Communication Service and Communication Service have a location of Global.

@stephenmichaelf Thanks for your feedback! We will investigate and update as appropriate.

I've delegated this to @bashan-git, a content author, to review and share their valuable insights.

bashan-git commented 9 months ago

@stephenmichaelf , global indicates that email resources are not regional resources and data location (country) needs to match to connect the verified domains. I will clarify in the doc.

stephenmichaelf commented 9 months ago

If it can never work with Global, can that be removed as an option? I didn't even realize that was chosen.

Also can the UI make this more clear?

bashan-git commented 5 months ago

Thanks @stephenmichaelf taking this feedback to our design team to come up with better UI in future revisions.

Seems to me like this limitation is referring to the "Data Location" which is a country (Canada in my example below). Both Azure Communication Service's and Email Communication Service's have both Location and Data Location:
