MAU billing model not available in Azure Government #115658

Closed punnypun closed 1 year ago

punnypun commented 1 year ago

We are being told by PG that the MAU billing model is not available nor planned for Azure Government. Please reflect that in this documentation as it is unclear.

Also, regarding the 1:5 Guest user licensing model - I request that this article be expanded to explain that model in more detail as it is unclear and I cannot find it documented anywhere else. Is that a limit on creating Guest users or is the limit based on usage somehow? What does it specifically apply to (Purely guest accounts created, AAD P1/P2 features used by guests, something else)? Is it enforced or just reported?

Thank you for your consideration.

@msmimart Can you please check and add your comments on this doc update request as applicable.

Hi @punnypun, thanks for your feedback. Because External ID isn't in a general availability state for Azure Government, neither the MAU billing model nor the 1:5 billing model (which is retired) are applied. We have changes in the works to clarify this.
