How to Disable the association between AKS cluster and Azure Monitoring workspace

[Enter feedback here] The article is excellent and provide all the details on how to onboard to Metrics collection on all possible scenario ( UI / Az CLI ) but since there is only "Configure" Button , it is not clear how to disconnect an AKS cluster from the Azure Monitoring workspace ( a.k.a managed Prometheus) .

Apologies for the late reply. Does this article answer the question? We had it kind of buried in the TOC by accident.

Disable Prometheus

yes absolutely they clarify things .

I think the command itself is confusing as one may think that his entire monitoring ( let's say azure insights with log analytics ) is turned off , while only prometheus is turned off. is that because those 2 products are going to be merged to single product called azure monitoring metrics and the "old" log based metric system is going to vanish ?

@tshaiman We are kind of in a transition state at the moment as we move over to Prometheus, which is why we combined the guidance into a single article for onboarding. We merged a lot of existing content and will be doing more as we progress. Hopefully, we're doing a decent job of making the new concepts clear, but we'll keep working to improve it. Appreciate the feedback!
