@grayjeremy threads, messages, and file related data is stored in Microsoft-managed storage. Bring your own storage is currently not available.

@grayjeremy When you upload files to the Azure OpenAI service, they are stored in a storage account managed by Microsoft. You do not have the option to host these files on one of your own Azure storage resources.
The storage account used by the Azure OpenAI service is managed by Microsoft and is not accessible to customers. However, you can access the files you upload to the service through the OpenAI API.

@RamanathanChinnappan-MSFT the data privacy text (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/legal/cognitive-services/openai/data-privacy) does not mention anything about the assistant APIs.
How do I answer questions to customers like:
These are really important questions that my customers want answers for and currently there is no actionable information or documentation available - just some APIs that say "you can upload files here"

are these files Microsoft managed or can they hosted on one of my azure storage resources.
