Notification for User Management #121844

Hello, I noticed that for the Azure Data Manager for Energy particularly the AdminUI, notifications are not sent when users are added or deleted from a group. Is that a deliberate ommission? Are there improvements underway?

Hi @Yechenu-007 - Can you explain a bit more on the issue. What notifications are you referring to here?

Hello Shikha,

On the AdminUI platform, when users are given entitlement by being added to a user, data or service via their ID which is linked to an email address, such users do not get a notification informing them of such addition and therefore have to be informed verbally (if the data owner remembers to inform them). I was expecting the system to be automated where added or deleted users immediately get an email notification to their registered email address informing them of such changes/entitlements such as how you get notified when a document is shared with you via Onedrive as an instance.

Hi @Yechenu-007 - Thank you for the detailed requirement. This is a great idea. Though this needs to be supported by OSDU first such that any user when gets added /removed to OSDU groups via APIs/Admin UI gets notification of the same. Can you pls raise it with the community.
