Currently Python2 is long since dead, and can't be installed using the standard yum command. Because Python2 does not come on RHEL images (particularly any image 8.x and newer), deployment fails if you have linux diagnostics enabled. These instructions are no longer viable, and more importantly, a verion of the LinuxDiagnostics extension should be implemented with Python3 support.
