Retention Settings for Logs Sent to Log Analytics Workspace

For resource diagnostic settings, you have the following statement:

"The Diagnostic Settings Storage Retention feature is being deprecated. To configure retention for logs and metrics sent to an Azure Storage account, use Azure Storage Lifecycle Management."

That seems to be if you are sending logs to a storage account. What if we are sending our logs to a Log Analytics workspace? What retention settings should we use for that, especially for the Terraform resource azurerm_monitor_diagnostic_setting?
