I am getting the following error when creating a custom user attribute via Azure B2C portal.

_Could not save user attribute: There is a problem with the service. Something went wrong and we couldn’t complete the operation. If you just created this directory, wait a few minutes and try again. If the problem persists, please create a support request (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/develop/developer-support-help-options)?WT.mcid=Portal-fx).

@phoude-cb It seems that you are having trouble creating a user attribute via the Azure B2C portal and you are receiving an error message "Could not save user attribute: There is a problem with the service. Something went wrong and we couldn’t complete the operation." This error message indicates that there might be an issue with the service.

To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps:

  1. Check the Azure B2C service health status to see if there are any known issues that might be causing this problem. You can check the service health status by visiting the Azure status page at https://status.azure.com/en-us/status.

  2. Try creating the user attribute again after some time. Sometimes, the issue might be temporary and can be resolved by waiting for some time.

If the issue persists I'd recommend working closer with our support team via an [Azure support request] (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request). Or you can leverage our Q&A forum by posting your issue there so our community, and MVPs can further assist you in troubleshooting this issue or finding potential workarounds.
