Currently, there is no clear guide that explains how to set up SAML authentication in Entra for custom applications. This proposal aims to fill that gap by providing a step-by-step process to help developers securely configure Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAML, ensuring that users can log in to applications using their company credentials.

Enhancement Details

This guide will allow users to:

• Enable SAML authentication: Teach users how to set up Single Sign-On (SSO) for their web applications using SAML in Microsoft Entra.
• Create the application in the correct place: Users will learn how to create their application in the Enterprise Applications section of Microsoft Entra and select "Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery (Non-gallery)", not in the App registrations section, which is necessary for enabling SAML authentication.
