Preview pricing #16823

There doesn't seem to be any pricing info here or on the Monitor pricing page: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/monitor/ Do the data ingestion and retention limits and prices apply to this solution? Are there any additional costs? Thanks!

@Alberto-Vega-MSFT The Log Analytics pricing listed on Azure Monitoring page applies to Azure SQL Analytics. At this time 5GB/month is free which should be more than enough to monitor couple of databases for free. Above the free tier, the pricing depends on how much diagnostics telemetry monitored databases ingest into the solution. You should note that more active databases with heavier workloads will ingest more diagnostics data versus idle databases. The best way to estimate your consumption is to start monitoring and measure it yourself on your specific workloads as no customer is alike. You can easily monitor your data ingestion consumption in the solution by selecting OMS Workspace on the menu of Azure SQL Analytics, and then selecting Usage and Estimated Costs.

Thanks @danimir, the customer I am working with was unsure because there are often previews for Azure services with no cost or different costs, but I understand that SQL Analytics is billed to Monitor under normal rates. Appreciate the quick response!
