@jamesbannan what you stated is indeed correct. You need a HI account to install any ServiceNow marketplace app (Unfortunately this is a Service Now restriction). If you are a Microsoft field employee, we have a demo set up you can use. You can reach out to us at omsitsmfeedback@microsoft.com
@snehithm - just FYI that @jamesbannan is not a Microsoft employee and doesn't have access to the internal demo environment. Are there any other options?
So to confirm, if you're not a ServiceNow customer, there's nothing you can do if you want to test or demo either the ITSM Connector solution or the ServiceNow integration with Azure DevOps. Is that correct?
@ananthradhakrishnan can you comment please?
Also adding @TimSBenjamin to see if we have any customer-facing demo sites for this scenario.
@jamesbannan, yes that is correct.
@ananthradhakrishnan OK thanks for the clarification. In which case it would be definitely worth mentioning this prerequisite in the official ITSM Connector documentation.
@jamesbannan - I think that's a good idea, I'll make the update. Thanks!
@ananthradhakrishnan Are there any further updates on the OMS installation in ServiceNow side without any HI restrictions? can you pls connect SME here.
Kindly advise for the same,because i'm also using the developer instance and confronting same issue (HI User) >Kindly advise for the same because want deliver demo to our client. Any help will be highly appreciated.
Also adding @TimSBenjamin to see if we have any customer-facing demo sites for this scenario.
There are no public demo environments for this. We will have a repo to build this in your own sub but you will need to connect SNOW using HI creds
@javiermicrosoft we need to get this into UVOC for prioritization. @harelbr as owner of the connector I believe
@nolavime who's the owner for this connector.
can ServiceNow team who developed the "User App for Microsoft OMS integration" link to a Git repo and share? here is the link for how to do it, --> https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/newyork-application-development/page/build/applications/task/t_LinkAnApplicationToSourceControl.html
I wanted to demo this solution for a customer, so I signed up for a ServiceNow Developer instance, but discovered that you can't install the User App for Microsoft OMS Integration without having HI credentials. This means that you have to have access to a paid, enterprise instance of ServiceNow, as you can't get HI credentials through a Developer account. Can you please confirm that this is the case and that I haven't misunderstood the requirements? If not, it basically means that this solution has a high barrier to entry to learn anything about or to demo to potentially interested customers.
