https://github.com/Azure/WALinuxAgent#upgrade indicates that this change is true for Ubuntu, but not for CentOS or CoreOS. In fact, just checked on CentOS 7.7: Failed to restart walinuxagent.service: Unit not found, but, agent service name: waagent

Perhaps the doc can be clarified to also provide the alternative for Ubuntu.
