Azure CSP Docs Completely Broken #45921

Open cybertron2600 opened 4 years ago

cybertron2600 commented 4 years ago

Team,

The issue is critical for my company at this time due to migrations taking place.

All of the following such links are broken: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cloud-solution-provider/overview/azure-csp-overview

Anything Beyond /azure/cloud-solution-provider/ is redirecting to the Partner Portal.

Search Results with /azure/cloud-solution-provider/ links: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/search/?search=azure+csp&category=All

All of the links on the above search page redirect to the same page: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/

Please review and assist or direct me to where i can report this issue.

Thank you!

Hi @cybertron2600 Thank you for your feedback! Since this channel is for driving improvements towards MS Docs, could you provide the URL of the specific documentation that your feedback is applicable to? That way, we are able to make sure your feedback is addressed by the right team.

cybertron2600 commented 4 years ago

Sure:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cloud-solution-provider/overview/azure-csp-overview

That documentation, along with anything /azure/cloud-solution-provider/ is missing.

cybertron2600 commented 4 years ago

Please let me know if there is anything further that I can explain. I understand this is where we help better the documentation, but I'm telling you guys, the documentation is Gone. Missing. No where to be found. Deleted. Inaccessible. Can you please tell me if the documentation has a new location? Or did someone delete it? Or did someone mess up the URL, etc?

DixitArora-MSFT commented 4 years ago

@cybertron2600 Just checking if you have gone through this doc and see if it helps.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-in/partner-center/csp-overview

cybertron2600 commented 4 years ago

Thanks for showing me that, but no, unfortunately that is not the documentation and does not answer my questions for migrating a customer from PAYG to CSP.

What I'm referring to is here: This ENTIRE tree of documentation is just GONE. image

cybertron2600 commented 4 years ago

Also, browse to this search page:

https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/search/documentation/?q=Azure+CSP&products=

Not a single one of the links that search returns is accessible. They all take you directly back to the Partner Portal and nothing to do with Azure.

I really have no idea how else to explain what's going on here.

DixitArora-MSFT commented 4 years ago

@cybertron2600 I will discuss this internally and will update the next course of action you can take. Thanks again for the detailed explanation.

cybertron2600 commented 4 years ago

@DixitArora-MSFT That would be great, thank you very much.

@kfollis , @qianw211 Any inputs for this ?

@cybertron2600 I have assigned this to content author for further review and update as appropriate.

@MaggiePucciEvans may be able to help

MaggiePucciEvans commented 4 years ago

Hello. @cybertron2600 - Yes, you're correct. The content that was at /azure/cloud-solution-provider/... is no longer there. We've retired this content in favor of covering the same information in the Partner Center help and how-to content (hence the redirection to the PC help landing page). I believe the content you need can be found at https://docs.microsoft.com/partner-center/azure-plan-transition.

If, after you've reviewed that page and the other related topics under Azure Plan - Get started, you're still in need of different information, please reply back to this thread.

I hope that helps!

Hi Maggie, I'm sorry, but I'm super confused why you guys are doing this. The information is completely different and has nothing to do with the same details. There is no information on how to migrate a customer FROM EA/PAYG/Etc., over TO a CSP account. I think you guys made a large mistake "retiring" that documentation. The information is not the same in the new portal.
