AzureFiles + KeyVault app settings with cross-stamp scaling #74711

Closed ChNorman closed 3 months ago

Since KeyFault reference went GA recently for Functions should highlight that you can not use KeyVault reference + azure files with cross-stamp scaling

This limitation is not mentioned in the article anywhere

Fyi, Key Vault references for Functions went GA in 2019:

https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/updates/general-availability-of-key-vault-references-in-app-service-and-azure-functions/

This undocumented limitation wasted a ton of our time so it would be much appreciated if this was addressed in docs (and also if docs are updated when limitation is removed :-) ).

Hi @ntabris, we appreciate your feedback and we apologize for the furstration you faced due to the undocumented limitation of Key Vault references for Functions. We are working to update this doc with up-to-date information.

Any update on this? We'd like to know when cross-stamp scaling on functions with key vault references is supported, and it's hard to know this when the relevant docs are stale.
