@weyCC81 Thanks for your feedback! I've assigned this issue to the author who will investigate and update as appropriate.
@rolyon Is there any update on "role assignments via group membership", in regard to "new Exchange Admin Center" or the documentation?

Testing
"403 Sorry! Access denied :(" on the following Sites:
Mail flow, Rules → https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/transportrules Organization, Sharing → https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/sharing Organization, Add-ins → https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/addins Public folders, Public folders → https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/publicfolders Public folders, Public folder mailboxes → https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/publicfoldersmailboxes
@rolyon | @abhijeetsinha It is still not available in the new Exchange Admin Center after GA:
@rolyon | @abhijeetsinha State: There is still no update on the Known issues description and the functions are still limited in the mentioned Sites.
Additionally I have found the following not working either when using Azure AD group based role assignment to assign the Exchange Admin role.
As soon as I add the individual account to the Exchange Admin role, these actions are possible.
Update: This problem is still in production, not yet resolved. It would still be good to list de limitations
@JamesTran-MSFT Any update on this?
@weyCC81 Thank you for following up on this!
@rolyon, do you have any update on this?
Hi @weyCC81 Thanks for your feedback. We talked to the team and updated the known issues section. We added an item about accessing Rules, Organization, or Public Folders in the new Exchange admin center. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/roles/groups-concept#known-issues Let us know if you have any additional feedback. thanks
Is this considered closed, won't fix meaning that this is never going to be fundamentally resolved and we'll just need to continue to use the work-arounds? I'm building out a new tenant and I'd rather lean heavily on role-based groups vs. individual users..
Hi @arionl Thanks for your feedback. We have let the Exchange team know about this issue. If you would like to provide additional details to the Exchange team, you can use the "Give Feedback" button in the new Exchange admin center or submit product feedback here: https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/OfficeDocs-Exchange/issues thanks
This is still happening and i am not happy about it, as we always have to directly assign the role again of somebody new is joining the group, where we have already assigned the role!!
