@TimoNordstrom-Nordcloud If you meant changing the policy type of an existing policy, then it is not possible. e.g. we can’t change a VM backup policy to protect SQL servers or vice versa. Basically policy type can’t be changed, but it’s settings like schedule, retention can be changed.
Yes, I meant policy type change is not possible. I think this should be highlighted in documentation also as policy type change cannot be made easily but requires (too) big operation as described in that documentation.

[Enter feedback here] It seems that backup policy change is not possible, e.g. Azure Virtual Machine --> SQL Server in Azure VM. This is important information and should be highlighted.
