In SolarWinds documentation they are documenting bringing over security group in a group claim.
This actually makes sense, so I think it's missing in your guide:
Something along the lines:
In User Attributes & Claims, keep default settings for all user attributes and add a group claim:
Choose Security groups.
If you have Azure AD synchronized with your on-premises AD, change Source Attribute to sAMAccountName. Otherwise, leave it as Group ID. (here i think its important to describe the one over they other.)
Tickmark Customize the name of the group claim and write OrionGroups as the name
Save the group claim and hit the X in the upper right corner twice to get back.---
