@wesmc7777 can we consider this feedback and add a reference to Kafka?
Thanks
@asergaz Yes, feel free to do that. (I am not familiar with Kafka, so don't know how to do that.)

Hi @algattik, I added a link to Apache Kafka. Please see https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs-pr/pull/182472 to check it out.

Hi @algattik -- I left a comment for you in the PR: https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs-pr/pull/182472. Can you please let me know your thoughts in there? I'll leave this open for a few more days for you to comment (in the PR) and then I'll push the PR and close this issue. Thanks!

Hi @algattik -- thanks for all your help on this! The changes are now live: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/iot-hub/iot-hub-devguide-messages-read-builtin#read-from-the-built-in-endpoint. Please have a look and let me know if there's anything else that needs to be changed. I'll leave this open until Friday for any additional feedback you might have, and then I'll close it.
Thanks again for your help,
Jimaco
@algattik Thanks again for all your help with this! As stated above, the changes we agreed on are now live. At this time, I'm going to close this issue. If you think the issue needs to be further addressed, please open a new one.
Just for clarification: Does the built-in endpoint of the IoT Hub is kafka compatible by default? For Event Hubs this needs to be explicitly enabled, but I don't see any option about enabling this on the built-in endpoint.
The event hub endpoint can also be accessed using Kafka. This should be documented
