Guidance on Virtual Network Instance Address role

Hi, would it be possible to add some guidance on what role has to be entered in the roleName attribute of the InstanceAddress property of the VirtualNetworkSite configuration? I am talking about the following piece of configuration:

<InstanceAddress roleName="<role-name>">

I am a beginner following this tutorial which (I think) is based on the classic cloud service as it does not mention creating a virtual network. I came to this page via the Azure Portal (see below screenshot) and the only mention of roles I have seen during the tutorial are a "worker" role and a "web role".
