Dynamics Instructions are Terrible for new Dynamics User

I have Dynamics as part of MAPS MPN benefit. Thought i would configure it to capture leads from Azure Marketplace. I have given up...

1. where is one supposed to get the URL of the instance? It is not the URL i see in the browser bar
2. it says i need an application ID, secret ID and directory ID, well the bootstrap of dyanmics didn't create an app registration - am i supposed to create one, if so with what settings? there are lots of options and it specific to the end point. It did create an enterprise application but i don't think thats what azure marketplace wants - its unclear.

Could you improve the docs to be more specific?
