I follow the Azure Samples from this link. https://github.com/Azure/azure-sphere-samples/tree/main/Samples/AzureIoT
SDK, CMAKE and Ninja are downloaded from this link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure-sphere/install/install-sdk?view=azure-sphere-integrated&pivots=vs-code
I am using the latest 24.03 Azure SDK. VS code version is 1.92.0 Using latest CMake and CMake Tools extension in VS code.
@nishithpoojary Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I've delegated this to content author, who will review it and offer their insightful opinions.
Hello @nishithpoojary, has the issue been officially addressed by Microsoft? I had the same problem and suspect it was caused by the Azure Sphere plugin for VsCode not working. If there's any good news would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much.

Hi @Fan-aodong I have also raised the issue in the microsoft Q and A forum. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1856577/azure-sphere-vs-code-error?comment=question#newest-question-comment They are suspecting that some recent changes in VS code may be causing this. Waiting for their response.
Looking into it the error seems to be caused by a change to the node engine disallowing spawn calls to .cmd or .bat files without the shell=true arg. Downgrading vscode to a version that does not have this change to node (1.88.0) resolves the problem for me.
@nishithpoojary @TPavanBalaji This issue has been resolved. Azure Sphere VS Code Error. Please consider closing it.
Hi. Today i am getting a new error while debugging the Azure Sample code in VS code. I dont know whether the VS code is causing the error or the CMake. Let me know what i can do to fix this. I tried reinstalling Cmake extensions and also tried previous versions of VS code. Thank you. We are in a hurry because a lot of Azure devices are with customers and we need help as soon as possible.
