@champnic thanks for taking time to do a thorough review. I left the unaddressed comments opened and I will discuss them with @vickiez about it.

With regards to the overarching issue of the duplicate information when it comes to the instructions on how to change the channel search order, I agree there's definitely duplicated information - which can get difficult for us to maintain in the future.

The initial consideration is that we would prefer to keep information in the same page, as there's also slight variations in recommended option for the different articles.

I will take a look again on this aspect of it again once the preview learn.microsoft articles are fully rendered.

Having it in one place can also highlight the subtle differences in recommendations, which I think can be beneficial. Otherwise as people read through they may see that it looks similar, and just assume it's the same info.

Overall I think I would strongly caution against duplication, but ultimately I'll let you and @vickiez decide how you want to structure this.
