Effect Behavior Demo is not showing the expected shadow #1925

Problem: The demo application has two issues:

  1. When built and deployed to a physical device (Google Pixel 3XL) running Android 9 the following error is received - “Blocked by Play Protect – This app was built for an older version of Android and doesn’t include the latest privacy protections”.

Manually updating the project to target Android 8 solved this issue.

  1. When running (on the Pixel 3XL) the label does not show a shadow as described in the docs.

I do not have any Apple devices so I can only comment on the Android experience.
