Acronyms vs Abbreviations #397

Open SeniorJC opened 1 year ago

What you called "acronyms" are really abbreviations. The example "DLL" is an initialism, but not an acronym.

An acronym is "an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word (e.g. ASCII, NASA )."

Consider changing "acronym" to "abbreviation" when not actually referring to acronyms.
