Best regards, Teams Platform
@joshuadargan - When Microsoft Teams Tab apps are required to provide value beyond hosting an existing website, it means that the apps should offer unique features or services that are not just a replication of what the website already provides. The goal is to create a more integrated and interactive experience within Teams that leverages the platform's capabilities to enhance productivity and collaboration.
The Microsoft Teams Store validation guidelines emphasize that apps must provide value to users by enabling them to complete functional workflows that encourage repeated use. Apps that simply redirect users to an external website or require them to navigate outside Teams for the core experience do not meet this criterion

It's rather vague what value beyond hosting an existing website means in the context of a Microsoft Teams tab app. Does that mean that you have to combine it with a bot or message extension app?
