Time taken to install the MSEdge Webview2 #1957

Hi ,

We have enabled webview2 inside our product. We are installing Edgewebview2 runtime through evergreen MSWebview2Setup.exe. Sometimes we found that the Edge installer takes more than 20 min to complete the installation process. However, seeing the installer logs we are not able to confirm the total elapsed time to complete the installation process. can someone help me to find the overall time? And also why does it take so much time? I am attaching the logs. [Uploading msedge_installer (1).log…]()

Hey @piyush349 - we are looping in the deployment team to take a look. The installer log link doesn't seem to work, can you try again, or email me (champnic@microsoft.com) or the current email thread with the files? Thanks!

msedge_installer (1).log I have reattached the installer log.

Thanks for the log! We took a look and it seems that's the user install log, and seems to show it taking 35 seconds. Can you also search for other logs and attach those? C:\>dir /s /b *edge*log

Then attach all the edge*logs that show up.

And can you confirm this log is from the machine that had the 20 minute install?
