What should we change?

Non-Azure Assets are not available to connect from Defender for cloud

Lab

Lab 03 Exercise 01 Enable Microsoft Defender for Cloud

Relevant screenshots

In "Defender for Cloud" where we connect different data sources, one of the data sources is "Connect non-azure assets". When we try to connect the "non-azure assets" we did not get an option, usually this option is available in "Getting started tab" > "get started" as per this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/defender-for-cloud/quickstart-onboard-machines. However, this option is not available neither in Live accounts nor in LOD. We have checked that the option has been deprecated by Microsoft as per this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/defender-for-cloud/release-notes#deprecation-of-mma-related-features-as-part-of-agent-retirement. Due to recent changes in MDC, some step by step guidelines in the labs are not working as expected for adding non-Azure server and other topics.

I will check this out.

Yes. It looks like all this has changed. I will update. Labs. This page - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/defender-for-cloud/quickstart-onboard-machines#connect-on-premises-machines-by-using-the-azure-portal is obsolete.
