Since its pulling from the same repo as the source code, so kinda pointless?
At the very least, create a seperate repo for them if we are gonna store them externally, so they are tracked independently of the photonic3D code. We could then have certain releases ship to pull only from certain commit hashes. So older photonic3D installs don't break when profiles are updated.
