Plus and Minus-Buttons are bouncing

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a date scroller with plus and minus buttons.
2. Press the buttons.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The Number should always increment/decrement by one. But often they 
increment/decrement twice.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
mobicscroll 1.5.3 on IOS 5.0 and Android 2.3.x

Please provide any additional information below.
We first tried with an older version (1.5.). There were the bounces more often 
(nearly every second buttonpress). With 1.5.3 in IOS the effect was nearly 
gone. In Android It's approximately every 4-6th buttonpress.

Tap & hold interval changed from 200ms to 300ms in v1.6
