I did a more complete patch to include a few additional device-ids. Not tested as I have no 200-series hardware. I suspect you will want to take the opportunity to simply sync with the latest Linux sources, which probably have similar changes, but I offer the info here in case you don't have the time. The commit is here: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Intel-Network/commit/2c06503d2fc3afeab4253db0aeeea41537dc1160 Background info here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/issues-with-lan-intelmausiethernet-kext-with-z270g-motherboard-onboard-lan.216574/#post-1461875
Thanks for the patches but I'm going to rework the driver with the latest Linux sources soon which include Kabylake support too but also include some additional fixes for older devices. That's probably the best idea, thanks for all the hard work you've put into this!
This PR comes from a thread on tonymacx86 where RehabMan suggested a potential solution to getting the i219v chip working on a 200-series motherboard. I was able to build those changes and test it on the machine that I've been having problems with, and it works beautifully!
Please let me know if there's anything I can do to make this better - I'm not very experienced with hardware and/or osx engineering.
Also created a binary that I put here in case others come across this:
