DataLayer not showing all contents #33

Scope

Full Report

Description

It seems that app captures the data layer shortly after the page is loaded. However, after a user interacts with the site, other events or key value pairs can be added to the data layer. The Full report seems to be missing these items. Would probably be best that when someone clicks on the Chrome Extension icon and the Full report Icon that the current snapshot of the Datalayer is populated in the report.

Acceptance criteria

Show current items of the Data Layer for both GTM and Tealium and any other saved data layers saved to the profile.

@mrezo can you give me replication steps for actions that modify the Data Layers after initial load? I want to verify the updates are happening properly.

@jreidgreer, Sure thing:

Go to http:www.tuborg.com/picks
Inspect dataLayer in the dev console
Open full report in the Chrome Extension
Verify that both console + Crome Extension Data Layers are the same
Go back to Tuborg site and scroll down until you see "Since 1880" on the screen.
This triggers the push method onto the datalayer object which then appends a GTM event. (This is common practice for setting up triggers in SPAs)
Return the dataLayer variable value again in the console and you'll see that there are now more objects in the array
Pull the Full Report from the Chrome Extension and you'll see that the dataLayer in the report hasn't changed and still shows the initial state.
