Ugh, if I'm reading this correctly it means AE2 doesn't initialize some fields in its API if those features are disabled - the controller in this case. Which means I need to add more null checks.
For now adding appliedenergistics2
(like that, all lowercase) to OC's integration.modBlacklist
setting should avoid that by not registering the driver that causes the crash.
Thank you, amazing speed in reply too! adding that to the config did indeed fix the crash. Disabled features, hmmm yes we have the channels disabled (horrible nasty evil channels lol) hadnt occured to me that would be the cause.
how do you access the integration.modBlacklist setting??
@Creeper01 look in your config/OpenComputers.cfg (or config/opencomputers/settings.conf in later versions) and look for a section called integration
, in that section you'll find modBlacklist
When ever you press u on an item nei tells you the uses of said item in all the recipies that it knows....a handy function to be sure..unless open computers is installed at which point minecraft says nope and the client crashes (server is unaffected) I have tested with multiple beta builds of open computers and each time if its in the mods folder nei wil crash if its not then nei is fine.
Now this is most likely related to the ae2 rc2 beta 7 (it did it on beta 6 too and 2) im guessing theres been an api change. i did look to see if i could delete the ae2 api from open computers jar file but i see you have a slightly different way to deal with api's (something i need to learn more about for when im modding not server admining lol)

is there anything i can do as an end user to fix this (beyond disabling oc or switching ae2 to non beta)?
also i realise that since we are using the ae2 beta the bug will be considered low priority, thems the breaks of using beta :( and i fully understand that
