Tar archives corrupt

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. In windows, extract the tar archive from the gz archive
2. Extract everything from the tar archive
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Everything to be extracted. 
Get an error message that states 
"cannot open ###.tar as archive" (7zip)
"the archive is corrupt" (WinRar)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows

Which file? openid4java-full-0.9.5.593.tar.gz or others in the download list?

Before extract it, you may verify the file integrity with the SHA1 checksum 
that give on the download file's detail page.

I tried the following 2 files
openid4java-full-0.9.5.593.tar.gz
openid4java-0.9.5.593.tar.gz
The SHA1 checksum verifies correctly on my machine.

I tried to extract openid4java-0.9.5.593.tar.gz with 7-Zip 4.65 on Windows 
2003, no error.
