latest er9x manual with Frsky Telemetry

I have a Turnigy 9x transmitter. I have upgraded it with the Hobbyking Frsky 
DHT 8ch DIY telemetry compatible transmitter module, added the TelememEZ and 
Smartieparts board and added a backlight. 
Now the questions --- 
1. which do I use - companion or EEPE?
2. which do I use ER9x or open 9X?
3. the manual I have downloaded for the er9X is dated 05 June 2011. Where can I 
find a newer version of the Er9X with Frsky telemetry? 

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

1. Companion for openTx, eepe for er9x.
2. Your choice, you may try them both and decide. If you are just upgrading to 
one of these for the first time, er9x may be easier to start with.
3. The most recent pdf of the manual is installed along with eepe. It gets 
updated when I get some time to do so.
