installation Adapterremoval with Conda #57

Hi, I am trying to instal the adapterremoval con miniconda and I am getting this error and I am not able to run it properly.

(C:\Users\marco507\Miniconda3) C:\Users\marco507>conda install -c bioconda adapterremoval Collecting package metadata (current_repodata.json): done Solving environment: failed with initial frozen solve. Hi Maria,

There aren't conda packages for Windows (only Linux and OSX), so you won't be able to install it that way. AdapterRemoval isn't really supported under Windows. You should be able to get it to run, but I've never tried myself.

If you are going to be running bioinformatics tools under Windows, then I'd strongly suggest setting up WSL2 (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install). That gives you access to Linux while still running Windows, and it makes it easy to install and run Linux based software like AdapterRemoval along with whatever Windows based software you might need.
