Wiki Item on Being Topical in Rooms #27

The thoughts I shared in a few rooms, included below, may not exactly be 100% representative of what such a neutral, objective wiki should include.

However, "…it's the current year…", people think and express themselves how they do, and it drives the point home.  And, at the end of the day, it's the work of @me going forth, despite pile-on FUD.

Someone shared some FUD others tried to put on @me for keeping things topical and seperated, decrying in crybully fashion about having to switch rooms for certain things. Tell you what, let them invite me into their homes, and we'll chat in the room which is the kitchen. And when I feel the need, instead of switching rooms to the bathroom, I'll squat down and crap in their crockpot. Then they will literally have a "crock of shit" IRL.

Some rational thoughts on keeping rooms topical, in bulleted points should be added, to include: trawling/searching scrollback for useful info'.  The concept involves, moreso, rooms of a tech' topic or functional nature, in a room of people gathered solely for the purpose of discussing the topic, like lectures/Q&A at a professional symposium or convention, rather than an off-topic General Chat where people are there to socialize, such as in a pub.  And that is the distinction some fail to realize.
