Describe the MinBZK git policy #12

How MinBZK uses Git.

What guidelines should MinBZK projects, departments, and employees using Git(Hub) follow to the best of their ability?

wisze commented 1 year ago

And how do these guidelines apply to MinBZK organisations like Logius? What platform is used, github/gitlab/gitsomething? How do we publish documentation (ReSpec?) How do we handle issues/change requests? Should there be a single procedure for issue handling?

Shouldn't the OSPO itself use Free and Open Source Software? The OSPO uses now GitHub. GitHub is closed source proprietary software. GitLab Enterprise Edition is Open Source Software, and the Gitlab Community Edition is Free Software. For more details see: https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab#canonical-source.

MinBZK will start an Open Source Program Office in the near future. Part of its task is to identify issues like these and provide answers to them.

That's a fair and important question and it is certainly on the to do list for the OSPO. In the meanwhile we will work with this Github presence.
