How to use PyQT? #21

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Can't get PyQT to work using binaries, what do I need to do to be able to use
PyQT in apk?

Some documentation on PyQT on Android would be great! I could not find any.

*cheers

Please feel free to ping Tarek Sheasha which has done this part.

There are some comments there that might help (meanwhile a proper wiki is done):

I think there is some mismatch between the instructions in the project page and
the PyDroid project tree.
In 'python-build-with-qt/binaries/' I see two zip files as stated in the
project page, but if I move these in the apk/res/raw an error occurs when
importing PyQt4.
Looking in PyDroid tree (and PyDroid-debug.apk) I see only one python zip file
and the script package_pyqt.sh confirms that the two are merged in a single
archive.
I guess the problem is in some python path, but it'd be great if someone more
familiar with the setup could confirm.

Thanks

I believe the problem is with the python path, however could you clarify the
problem by mentioning the exact steps u took.

Best Regards
