[Suggestion] Things I noticed/Suggestions #51

Hey @MindBrain27 ^^

I do not want to like force me on here, but I got a few things:

I had 2 ideas for potential Multiblocks (those are highly like spekulative - so prob. not good ideas^^)

Multiblock/Mod Thorium Reactors A Thorium Reactor really would put Thorium and some Fuel to good use - I did suggested Nuclear Craft last time, so this is just an alternative which I found.^^

Hope I could provide some inspiration... I am always like come across new ones playing your pack! It is really fun!

(also not a suggestion but I noticed the Bronze Boiler is approx. 3.3 MV steam engines, a bit short of to use on a 2xMV Blast Furnace)

MV Superconductor - This is the second request for cheaper superconductors. I could look into an alternative earlier recipe but as of now they are just default GregTech recipes. If anything I would leave the original recipes but also add a secondary earlier way to obtain, probably being quite expensive but doable.

RAM Chip - Fixed RAM Chip quest to not require HV Cutter as you are correct. It's actually required in the MV age for the first HV Circuit. Did a minor shuffle of the MV quest chapter and fit it back in the MV quest chapter.

History Mod - I would love one that works with REI, if something ever becomes available for REI let me know for sure. I miss this from Omnifactory.

MV Circuit Assembler - Added a quest for this but the goal was to stop making quests for basic single block machines in the EV age so there will be no quests for higher tiered Circuit Assemblers. Also added quest for the Flawless Emeralds required for the MV Emitter for the MV Circuit Assembler.

Greenhouse - I could add this, https://gregtechceu.github.io/gtceu-modern-docs/Modpacks/Examples/Greenhouse/ (I could make my own but this is already done with recipes and all) I don't know why it's not already in the mod tbh but I would probably add this before adding Botany Pot Tiers as it is obviously much more GregTech like. Botany Pot Tiers would overshadow a multiblock Greenhouse pretty easily but I do like the idea of the Greenhouse I will probably implement that multiblock. (currently testing this) EDIT - Added.

Soils - I could add some custom blocks to be used as better soils for Botany Pots as GregTech doesn't really have any options (that I can see), but if adding the multiblock Greenhouse then I would probably skip that in order to incentivize using the Greenhouse over Botany Pots in the long run.

Thorium Reactors - It looks cool but a bit too powerful for mid game, currently (next update) I have Advanced Generators added to the pack with access in the IV age. All fuels from GregTech have been integrated and the Steam is interchangable. I want energy generation to be purely GregTech until IV so you can deal with the EV power struggles. Once you get access to an IV Voltage Coil then Advanced Generators opens up, this is the same point you can just make an IV multiblock generator anyways. However I do want a more powerful option to be opened up right after you get into Fusion Reactors. I like the idea of Thorium Reactors to be opened up after you have used a Fusion Reactor and will probably go that route but it definitely will not be available early on. If I have issues with Thorium Reactors then I'll just add whatever Big Reactor mod there is, but Thorium Reactors looks pretty cool and different.

I think most Superconductors are more than fine, like the LV and the HV so far I saw... it makes sense to like not get them right away and I really like that. To early Superconductors would like make it maybe to flat. (so far I saw not checked much other Superconductors) But the MV is particular, since it is gated behind the Vacuum-Freezer which needs EV circuits... the HV for comparison also need the Vacuum-Freezer, but seemingly nothing particular else. Personally if I would to change anything I probably would just add an Chemical Bath cooling recipe for the MV Magnesium Diborite Ingot :o

The Greenhouse would also be my preferred method for like Mid-to-Late game Plant-Resource gen. The Pots are fine for early, but some things like resin are pretty hard to obtain with the pots alone and that makes me wish for a Tree-Farm of sorts... I feel a Greenhouse really would solve that^^

Thorium Reactors, the point is fair! My Idea was similar to have it like as alt. Gen for IV+ not sure how good the mod is... Just like feel the Fission Fuels in particular could make amazing Fuel sources^^ Wonder how the Adv. Generators are integrated, I sadly for my part was never a big fan of them in late game, but I am looking forward to^^

Also forgot to maybe mention some Decorative mods which might be interesting:

Edit: NoMoreWanderer might be a solution to the Wandering Trader if someone wants, it basically ads a sing which prevents the spawing, which can get quite annoying, even so it is a good Leather source.

None of them of course are needed, but I thought I mention some

If this is okay to ask: Do you do some sort of Discord? I would love to maybe stay more in direct contact if you are okay! If not this is totally fine.

I went with the Chemical Bath recipe for the Magnesium Diboride as yeah needing EV Circuits is definitely overkill for MV superconductors.

The Greenhouse multiblock will be in the next update and is an MV energy requirement with MV components. You can boost rates by using Fertilizer as well so it gives a reason to produce Fertilizer.

I can tweak the rates of Advanced Generators for both the fuels and RF/t rates for Turbines so it can be made to fit in nicely. It may take some tweaking after initially adding it but I tried to make the fuel rates the same as the GT generators. It wont scale well in the ZPM age I don't think but that's where I would add Thorium in for massive RF rates.

I added all the building mods because the more the merrier.

I added NoMoWanderer because thank god, I forgot what it was called.

A Discord server will come soon, I don't use it currently but I'm going to get one set up. When I do I will post a link somewhere in the GitHub here.

I maybe an idea would be also to add an Quest for the Supras at all Stages, to inform the player which play less GT... (I also noticed that the MV Supra needs Boron which is super painful to obtain)

I am excited for the Greenhouse and maybe some other Multiblocks to play with^^

I have to admit that the Steam-consume of the Single-Block Turbines are not fully clear... the consume in REI, I assume, is for the LV version, but the MV version is supposed to train like 4 times the Steam, too? I do mentioned the Bronze Boiler which generates with a decent effort 800mb/t which is 16000mb per sec? And an MV Turbine would consume 1280mb per secs?

It might be the easiest to maybe just increase the Bronze and all following Boiler-Steam output slightly to support 4 MV turbines fully 🤔

I am always excited for some nice possible Building mods to make a nice base^^ Some other decor mods I found but mostly not used:

A quest for the Superconductors is a good idea I'll add those in at some point.

I've been playing around with different custom multiblocks, I want to make a multiblock to automate AE2 things like a multiblock Inscriber and maybe a Certus Quartz Charger. More multiblocks will come slowly.

I think for the Steam consumption they want you to make the Large Steel Boiler to tier up, I just used 4 Large Bronze Boilers until I could make a Large Titanium Boiler. Now I just use 1 Large Bronze Boiler and 1 Large Titanium Boiler to power all of my LV and MV stuff (which is quite a lot). Your math on the rates seems correct but knowing GregTech they definitely assume you have more than 1 Boiler, and will also assume you are tiering up whenever you can as the Large Steel Boiler produces more than double.

Antiblocks and Simply Lights are already in the next update and I always find a few more building mods to add as I go.
