Keyboard and Touch Pad disabled on HP Laptop with cracked screen. #69

No Keyboard or Touch Pad on HP Laptop with cracked screen. Laptop HMDI port also damaged. Screen is physically disconnected from motherboard (internal cable also). Originally set Windows 11 on laptop to only show Display 2 on external monitor. Result: No keyboard, no touchpad. Then set external monitor as Duplicate. Same problem. Help.

External USB keyboard works fine. Just wanted to keep it simple and use integrated laptop keyboard and touchpad. Thnx!

P.S.: Integrated keyboard and touchpad work when I reconnect and re-install laptop original screen (cracked but somewhat legible).

Using MSDisplay_Windows_V2.0.1.7.3

Found a solution to this problem. The keyboard and touchpad are being disabled by Windows 11, because when I disconnect the Integrated Display cable from the motherboard, Windows 11 thinks the laptop is in tablet mode and so it defaults to the touch screen keyboard. What I needed to do was to disable the "Integrated Sensor Solution" in Device manager, restart the laptop and voilá. I will still be using your USB to VGA adapter, because it wasn't at fault. Thnx.
