Hmmm a quite nice idea actually :). Would be good for consistency.
+1
This mod consumes iron by the stack. Iron is currently limiting my rate of progression with this mod. I even built a High Oven just to triple Iron yield! Spreading this iron requirements across other metals would help reduce dependency on iron farming.
If other metals are available, it would be great to add them too… copper, tin, bronze, aluminium, silver etc. Most people with this mod installed will have other metals available.

I don't, I try to limit the number of complex mods I use to the bare minimum. Which is this one only. :)
Well, I have to now amend my statement above. To get higher compression on my charging station I bit the bullet and installed Buildcraft, and I threw in Applied Energistics as icing.
I guess copper could be used instead of iron in PCBs and aluminium in capacitors, as well as AE silicon in trajsistors.
Copper means I'll have to add Copper Ore / ingots, which I'm not really fond with. But maybe optional, for when those ores are available in the instance..
Yes, there's no point in adding those ores. I'm talking about what KeepOnDigging said, about adding alternative "pressure chamber recipes" for those with a few mods installed.
I thought since you added compressed iron maybe you could add compressed gold. For more advanced machines this item. I think of this adding a little more of a challenge to the mod. I think something like an advanced pressure chamber would allow you to create items you can't normally create in a normal pressure chamber.
