RFC: Avoiding "Stagnant" Temporary Maps

If the server resets with an intermediate map (between "actual" maps), then it needs to not be called a test map or an intermediate map.

As soon as players hear that, they tend not to play until the "proper" map comes out. This is because they tend to (understandably) not want to invest in a map on which their efforts will be "for nothing".

The 1.8 update won't arrive until mid July (at least) and the server won't be ready to update until August. This current map has been running for 5 months already and it could end up lasting 9 months in total which is painful for some of the players who have been on the map every day since it reset.

The map should be reset immediately because:

• Most school exams are ending for players, giving them more time to play.
• Coming back to the same map they left 3 months earlier will lead most players to expect a reset as well as alienate them away from a map which they don't feel they're a part of.

In addition, the map needs to have increased appeal.

Possible ideas:

• A radius of 100 blocks from (0, 0) needs to be a pre-built (ruined) city with chests and other loot spawned in. This town will be quickly looted and Origin will be terraformed as usual but it would be an enticing reason to encourage players head to (0, 0) (which most players don't do at the beginning of a map reset). The exception being map 3 where everyone spawned at (0, 0), which resulted in brand new factions being formed (a massive benefit).
