New stone types divide along chunk lines rather than biome borders. #307

The "veins" of the new stone types appear to generate across entire chunks, rather than generating along the block-based biome borders, causing weird straight lines of different rock types to appear in caves, which obviously doesn't look very natural. Don't know how to fix this one myself, so you guys can figure out if one of you thinks you can solve it.

I can fix those as soon as I'm back tomorrow or Sunday. As for ores, I could implement some sort of Ore-Base-API-thingamabob into CSLib.

Wait a second, there are more than 1 stone added by this mod?

Delocuro commented 10 years ago

@medsal15 Yes there are, as of 2 days ago! :D Version 3.3.0 will include 4 new biome specific Stone types, as well as "Deep" versions of each which generate at lower elevations. I'll post some more info and pictures on the forum page today or tomorrow.

I can't find the link for the new version! :( And what are the new stones, I hope I can make tools with them!

Delocuro commented 10 years ago

The new version hasn't come out yet, which is why there's no link. As for the stone types, the 4 new ones to be added are Red Rock (which generates in warm biomes such as Deserts or Savannas), Coldstone (which generates in cool biomes such as Taigas and Extreme Hills), Icestone (which generates in snowy biomes such as Snow Plains or Ice Spikes), and Oceanstone (which generates in neutral biomes such as Oceans or Mushroom Islands. We don't currently have any plans to make new toolsets for each, since they'd all have pretty much the same stats as normal Stone tools, but there will be some new Furnace-like blocks that are crafted with each of the stone types (though these may not be added until 3.4.0).
